Good to know

Two of our three teachers receive a salary, currently paid by donations (unfortunately, we can't always pay them on time every month, but we try our best). One teacher is still a student but often comes to the orphanage in her spare time as a volunteer to teach the children.

Our director and his partner, as well as our cook, work as volunteers and do not receive a salary yet. However, they eat and live at the orphanage and thus receive room and board. The director's family lives in a house next to the orphanage. They are self-supporting and do not rely on donations; on the contrary, they support the orphanage as much as they can. They regularly bring fruits and vegetables from their own garden and donate a goat every year at Christmas to make a feast possible for the children. It is thanks to them that the orphanage exists at all, as they provided the floor for the orphanage.

The founder tries to support the orphanage as much as possible from Switzerland and is regularly on-site, as transparency is very important. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact:
